Festac Meetinghouse, The Church Of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint Festac Town - Lagos Nigeria

Description:

This is an H-Shaped transformational Meetinghouse. The H-Shaped bungalow transformed from its original linear block to a full stake centre.

The H-shaped structure consist of teaching rooms on one half, and the Chapel and offices on the other half. The Chapel itself is transformational, and capable of sectional spatial use, by means of bi-folding doors incorporated in the hall. The traditional symbolic identity of the Church’s structure (The Shipre) can also be seen boldly incorporated in front of the chapel. Ramped entrances for disable/challenged use are also a distinguishing feature of this institutional ecclestiastic  building.

The entire facility is surrounded by a superbly landscaped exterior with designated car parks for disabled worshippers. The Festac Meetinghouse is particularly blended with existing greenery on the site by way of  application of green painting.
