Description:

This is a design competition submission for the office headquarters of the Nigerian Local content board, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State - Nigeria.

The design concept takes its inspiration from the location (riverine), Culture (Colourful, cultural and indigenous boat regatta/masquerade festivals in Bayelsa), Industry (Oil refinery, NNPC colours and symbols,) Operation (The helicopter Platform for Rig transportation).

This Office tower is designed to suit the administrative organogramme of the organisation with spatial expansion possibilities.  The 14-storey building is designed to suit the project site in all ramifications, and exude the characteristic colourful look of the Ijaw  boat  regatta festival, and demonstrated in a ship Hull shape building Podium, and the colourful tower signifying the masquerade.
