Description:
This Fixed Base Operation Centre (FBO) for OmniBlu Aviation is located adjacent to runway 18R, and within the Murtala Mohammed International Airport facility, Lagos Nigeria.
The facility is a composite Aviation centre targeted to serve the West African Aviation sub-region.
The physical facility comprises of the 80m clear span steel hangar, and also a terminal building for private flight operations. The hangar facility is designed to attend to the maintenance of wide body aircrafts with particular attention to the Airbus A330-600 series.
The hangar facility also comprises of several operational components and includes; executive and technical offices and workshops, bonded stores, NDT labs, battery centres, aviators lodging facility, canteens and a mini sport centre.
The apron facing end and aircrafts access to the Hangar parades the world acclaim Butzbach hangar doors designed to suite the clear span opening.
The one - storey symbolic and flight expressive terminal building is smartly joined to the Hangar facility via expansion lines. This is a miniature typical airport facility, and consist of the following; Departure and arrival area, lounge and bar, screening centres, laugage handling spaces, briefing room for passengers on helicopter flights and executive offices.
Both facilities open up to the apron/airfield end, and also the access road at the public entrance facade at the rear end.
